Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 7, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Divo ("the app") processes, how it is used, and your choices. Divo is published by Aleksandr Riakhin ("we", "us").

1. The short version

  • There is no account. Divo does not ask for your name, email or phone number.
  • All calendar calculations happen on your device.
  • We use privacy-respecting analytics and crash reporting to improve the app, and a payment service to manage subscriptions. We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.

2. Information stored on your device

Your selected city, Ekadashi tradition (Smarta or Vaishnava) and reminder settings are stored on your device and used by Divo's own widgets. If usage data sharing is on (section 3), the preset city and tradition you chose are also included in anonymous analytics. Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device; they are not sent from our servers.

Divo uses a list of preset cities. It does not access your device's location.

3. Analytics and crash reports

We use Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand which features are used and to fix crashes. This may include app usage events (for example, completing setup, opening the Divo Pro screen, starting or cancelling a purchase, or turning on reminders), the preset city and Ekadashi tradition you chose, whether you have Divo Pro, crash diagnostics, and basic device and app information such as app version, OS version, device model, language and approximate country. Firebase assigns a random app-instance identifier. We do not collect the advertising identifier (IDFA) and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

We also use Firebase Remote Config to adjust app settings without releasing an update. It uses the same random identifier and receives no personal information.

Analytics collection is turned off in development builds. Learn more in Firebase's privacy information.

4. Purchases (Divo Pro)

Divo Pro (a yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase) is sold and paid for through Apple. We never see your name, email or payment details. We use RevenueCat to confirm whether your Apple Account has an active Divo Pro purchase so the app can unlock it. RevenueCat receives a random, anonymous app-user identifier and the purchase records Apple provides (product, dates, trial and renewal status, price and country). See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

5. How we use information

  • To provide the app's features and unlock purchased features
  • To find and fix crashes and errors
  • To understand, in aggregate, how the app is used so we can improve it

6. Sharing

Information is shared only with the service providers above (Google Firebase, RevenueCat and Apple), who process it on our behalf, or when required by law. We do not sell or rent personal information.

7. Retention

Settings stay on your device until you delete the app. Analytics data is kept by Firebase for the retention period we configure, at most 14 months; crash reports for up to 90 days. Purchase records are kept as long as needed for your subscription and for legal and accounting purposes.

8. Your choices and rights

You can stop analytics and crash reporting at any time by turning off Share anonymous usage data in Divo's Settings; collection stops immediately. You can turn off notifications at any time in iPhone Settings, and delete all on-device data by deleting the app. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, India's DPDP Act or US state laws), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information, or to object to its processing. Because Divo has no accounts, the data we hold is pseudonymous; email us and we will help as far as we can identify your data.

9. Children

Divo is a general-audience app and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version; significant changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
